2021-22 SEC Power Rankings: Week 10

Auburn takes over the top spot of SEC Power Rankings.

January 18, 2022 Update – Now that the SEC has gone through two full weeks of conference play, it’s time to revisit the Power Rankings. In the first edition, posted on Christmas Eve, Alabama had the top spot followed by LSU and Auburn.

Let’s just say that there has been a changing of the guard, albeit there’s a team from the state of Alabama atop the rankings. This time, it’s clear cut as Auburn has earned the right to be the kingpins of the SEC so far.

The scratching and clawing Bruce Pearl squad has rolled off five wins to start conference play. They are 16-1 overall and might be the team playing the best across the country as of now. Their lone loss came in 3OT to UConn before Thanksgiving! The Tigers’ transfers have blended well together, Allan Flanigan is back, and Jabari Smith has entered the discussion as not only the best player in college basketball but also the number one pick in June’s NBA Draft.
