While everyone was still in shock of Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils, college basketball kicked off around the country. Here is a quick recap for those who missed other games this week.

Top 25 Losses

 #2 Kentucky:       To kick off the season, #2 Kentucky faced off against #4 Duke in the Champions Classic. The Blue Devils Freshmen outscored the entire Wildcats squad 89-84. as Coach K and his dangerous team win 118-84. Kentucky ends the week 1-1 while Duke finishes 2-0.

#10 Michigan State:       Prior to the Kentucky Duke game, #10 Michigan State took on #1 Kansas Jayhawks in the 2018-19 season-opening game. Despite a late second-half run, Bill Self and the Jayhawks won 92-87. Michigan State will be 1-1 heading into the second week while Kansas remains undefeated at 2-0.

#13 West Virginia:       Hosting their first game of the season, #13 West Virginia took on Buffalo, well known for the March Madness success. The Mountaineers looked like they were set to win the game, but Buffalo went on a 15-4 run to force overtime. This is Buffalo’s first road win against a Top 15 in program history. West Virginia is 0-1 while Buffalo is 2-0 preparing for week two.

#25 Washington:       Following a win against Western Kentucky 73-55, the Huskies fell to #11 Auburn 88-66. Auburn got off to a hot start, and Washington could not keep up with their gameplay. This is Auburn’s first home win over a Top 25 nonconference opponent in nearly 48 years. Washington is 1-1 and Auburn is 2-0 getting ready for their next respective opponents.

Noticeable Game

Northern Colorado put up 126 points in a win against Colorado College. Despite not being in a Big 5 conference, Northern Colorado leads the country in total ppg.
