Texas A&M and Providence got the day started off right. A battle back and fourth where both teams seemed to be playing well. Providence did their best to use their toughness to battle the bigger Texas A&M but in the end it seemed that size won.
The Aggies finished the game with a 40-21 advantage on the glass with 9 coming on the offensive end. With the size advantage the Aggies also were able to reach the line 26 times compared to 12 for the Friars. Providence stayed close as they turned over the Aggies 13 times and protected their possessions nicely but needed one more player to step up on the offensive end in order to come away with the win. The Aggies were just too much for the Friars. Texas A&M will now await the winner of North Carolina and Lipscomb.
