The 2nd seeded Purdue Boilermakers defeated the 15th seeded Cal State Fullerton Titans 74-48 in the East Regional Friday afternoon. The Boilers were led by dynamic duo Carsen and Vincent Edwards, who scored 15 points each.

The Boilers jumped out to an early 6-0 lead within the first 2 minutes, but struggled the rest of the half before a late surge to take a 30-21 lead at half. Issac Haas started off very slow, but ended the game with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

In the second half, Purdue went on an 11-2 run to take a 41-23 lead, and never looked back. The Boilers led by as much as 31 with 4:03 remaining, and made 6-11 shots from deep in the second half, with 3 of the 6 makes coming from senior point guard PJ Thompson.

Purdue advances to play the winner of Arkansas/Butler on Sunday (time TBA). After having close to 2 weeks off following the Big Ten Tournament, the Boilers looked to have gotten their confidence back.
