Cincinnati was just too big and strong in this matchup. Georgia State hung around for a little while, but Cincinnati was just too good on the glass. They out rebounded Georgia State 46-26 and played excellent defense.

Jacob Cumberland played out of his mind for the Bearcats and had career bests 27 points and 11 rebounds. D’Marcus Simonds was a stand out for Georgia State and finished with 24 points.

This was a good win for the Bearcats as they blew a 10 point second half lead with around 10 minutes but were able to stay composed. They answered with a 10-0 run to build a comfortable lead that they would maintain the rest of the way.

Up next for Cincy is a tough matchup against either Nevada or Texas.
