Utah State avoids the bubble, punches ticket into the tournament

In this year’s Mountain West final, we saw two teams, Utah State and San Diego State face each other for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Utah State was considered a bubble team going into this game, and SDSU needed to win to make the tournament this year. It was Utah State who came out victorious with a 64-57 win.

Powerhouse Teams Face Off in Maui Invitational, Gonzaga Comes Out on Top

After three days of exciting basketball, the Maui Invitational came to a close with Gonzaga bringing home the trophy. The Zags defeated first ranked Duke, 89-87, to secure the tournament title. So What’s Changed?

If there’s one thing that is always the same in college sports, it’s that the landscape is always changing.  Coaches take new jobs, players transfer, and schools switch conferences.  Most of this seems to go under the radar due to summer baseball, and NBA free agency taking precedence.  However, come November, College Basketball will be center stage for 5 months.
