The college basketball offseason is here, and we decided to have some fun over the next few months, ranking ALL 364 teams in D1. Number 294 is North Florida basketball.
Before you say we’re crazy – or that all of this is up for debate, let’s go over the very intricate process of how we came to this conclusion. We took a very statistical approach – with the help of Chat GPT – taking into consideration everything from March Madness wins and finishes, to AP Poll appearances, to conference players of the year. And then, a good friend of ours, Scott Blanchard, took our approach to the MAX.

Overall scoop on North Florida basketball
In 21 seasons in Division I, the Ospreys have a tournament appearance and a trio of regular season conference chips.
Like a lot of teams making the jump to the highest level, North Florida basketball struggled out of the gates. But practically upon hiring Matthew Driscoll, things turned around. In 16 seasons as the head coach, Driscoll went 248-264, helping the program to Atlantic Sun regular season titles in 2015, 2016, and 2020.
The 2014-15 season was extra special, with UNF winning its conference tourney and earning its first and only bid to March Madness. Star guard Dallas Moore led that squad, and won the first of two straight A-Sun Player of the Year awards.
The first season under new head coach Bobby Kennen didn’t go too well, but UNF has some great seasons to bank on in hopes of a quick turnaround to once again compete at the top of the league.
