Even though some games have been canceled due to Covid-19, I still love the board and we will get to see a great slate of games, including a couple top 25 matchups. Here are my 3 best bets.
(All odds as of Saturday morning via VegasInsider.com)
#2 Baylor vs #15 Texas Tech
4:00 PM ET ESPN
Current Spread: Baylor -3.5
Mac McClung and the Red Raiders pulled off an incredible upset win over #4 Texas on Wednesday. For Baylor, this will be their toughest test so far this season. I believe that Jared Butler and Baylor will be too much to handle for the Red Raiders. Also, Baylor is 4-0 in their last 4 games against the spread vs a team with a winning percentage above .600. That trend continues today.
Pick: Baylor -3.5
#18 UVA vs #12 Clemson
6:00 PM ET ESPN
Current Spread: Virginia -2
Today, Clemson will be playing their first game since January 5th where they won in overtime against NC State. Sam Houser and the cavaliers have won 4 straight games since their loss against Gonzaga. This game should be a battle and will come down to the final minute. Clemson is 0-5 in its last 5 games against Virginia. I see Clemson falling to 0-6 today.
Pick: UVA -2
UCLA vs Washington
5:00 PM ET Pac-12 Network
Current Spread: UCLA -14.5
The Bruins have been red hot since the start of conference play with leaders Tiger Campbell and Jaime Jaquez jr. The loss of Chris Smith seemed like it was going to hurt UCLA significantly, but instead they are 6-0 in the Pac-12. Washington has had a very poor season, with the only positive being Quade Green. They have yet to record a win in 2021 and are 1-10 on the season. Maybe the Huskies will pick up some conference wins this season, but today isn’t going to be one of them. Expect UCLA to blow out the Huskies.
Pick: UCLA -14.5
