So far this season, the Baylor Bears have surprised the majority of college basketball fans. They are 15-1 and have not lost a game since November 8th.

In the most recent AP Poll, the Bears are ranked number one. They are 5-0 in conference play and were even able to take down Kansas and Texas Tech on the road.

Baylor is led by sophomore guard Jared Butler. He is averaging 16.9 points and 3.2 assists per game, which lead the team. Macio Teague has played a huge part in Baylor’s success as well. He is averaging 13.0 points, five rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

With all of the success the Bears are having, a big question is when will they be taken down. They play four more teams who are currently ranked in the AP Top 25 and have to travel to Gainesville this weekend to take on the Gators in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

I think the Bears could be taking their second loss when they travel to Gainesville on Saturday. There is a pretty good chance that they lose one or two conference games as well. But I still believe they’re the favorites to win the Big 12. If Jared Butler can continue to lead this team the way he has, they will be the number one overall seed come March.
