The college basketball offseason is here, and we decided to have some fun over the next few months, ranking ALL 364 teams in D1. Number 330 is Lindenwood basketball.

Before you say we’re crazy – or that all of this is up for debate, let’s go over the very intricate process of how we came to this conclusion. We took a very statistical approach – with the help of Chat GPT – taking into consideration everything from March Madness wins and finishes, to AP Poll appearances, to conference players of the year. And then, a good friend of ours, Scott Blanchard, took our approach to the MAX.

Overall scoop on Lindenwood basketball

Lindenwood basketball has only been Division I for four years, but they’ve shown a lot of promise, averaging almost 14 wins per season. After two seasons of struggling, the last two have been a lot better. The Lions went 16-17 in 2024-25 and 18-15 this past season with a winning record in the OVC.

Lindenwood actually doesn’t have much of a history before going DI either, only making the NAIA DII Tournament twice – in 2000 and ’06. So in all honesty, it’s a program that doesn’t date itself and also benefited from a couple of good seasons here in DI, to beat the system we used.

We told you there’d be flaws, and it doesn’t take away from what Lindenwood has accomplished so far, but that’s about all there is to say on this Lions program!
