Alabama basketball bounced back in a much-needed way after dropping two SEC home games in a dominant 90-64 win over Missouri.

Charles Bediako’s Temporary Restraining Order got extended another 10 days on Monday because of the weather, so that the big man will be available for the Florida game as well.
“We were locked into the scouting report, film study, guys paying attention to shooters, non-shooters. We felt like we were helping off the appropriate guys,” said head coach Nate Oats.
Amari Allen missed his second game in a row with an injury.
It was the first time since Nov. 26 that multiple guys had five or more assists, with Labaron Philon’s six assists and Aden Holloway’s eight, and as a team had 19 assists.
In what was an alright crowd because of the cold, those in attendance brought the noise for the Tide, helping the Tigers have a brutal free-throw performance, going 8-23.
Alabama allowed its fewest points in all Power 4 games this year and reduced its rotation to 8, with Noah Williamson and Jalil Bethea logging single-digit minutes.
“We played the guys with the highest defensive leverage,” said Oats.
Alabama Basketball is up to third in offensive efficiency and 59th in KenPom.
Houston Mallette won the hard hat.
Philon finished with 18 points.

Complete game for the Tide

Alabama has struggled for much of the season after building up double-digit leads in the first half and making the game close down the stretch because of a lackadaisical half, but against Missouri, the Tide came out hot in the second half, keeping the foot on the gas.

“I thought it was better,” said Oats on the second half.

Alabama was able to double up the Tigers in both halves, with its largest lead of 29 points.

Latrell Wrightsell Jr. best game of the season

Latrell Wrightsell entered the game with a roller coaster of the season, with injuries and struggling from three, but was back to his 2024 self with a career-high at Alabama with 7-10 from deep.

“I’m happy for him. I think this is what we need out of him, what he’s capable of. He’s not gonna go 7-of-10 every night, but he’s a threat to go 7-of-10 every night,” said Oats.

Wrightsell in the second half alone was unconscious from 3, whether it be catch-and-shoot or off the dribble, everything was going in the bottom of the net, and the ceiling of this team only gets higher if healthy.

I’ve been putting up a lot of shots and if you put in the work it’ll show and it’s finally paying off,” said Wrightsell.

Tide big men outplays Mizzou bigs

“He allows me to showcase my game a lot more,” said Aiden Sherrell on Charles Bediako being back.

Sherrell had 16 points and was able to play more on the perimeter while being in the game with Bediako which allowed more threes to be put up for the Sophomore big.

Bediako had another big game in game number two with a bit more rebounds, with 14 points and 6 rebound,s and continues to be the lob threat the team was missing down low, along with a shot blocking presence to go with Sherrell.

Taylor Bol Bowen grabbed 10 rebounds as he continues to bring the effort game after game, with the offensive game coming along with four points.

Mark Mitchell dominated the Tide a year ago with 31 points, but in 2026, the Tide got the better of the Duke transfer, being held to 11 points with a struggle at the charity stripe on a 1-8 performance.
