Perhaps the team with the most depth, X-Rayted hopes to start their TBT careers with a big win or two.

With 16 players currently listed on their roster, we may see a couple of hockey shifts from this team. They are making their debut, but have the skillset to succeed in this tournament. X-Rayted has size, speed, and athleticism, which is the key to success. Will it all work together? We’ll find out soon enough.

Team MVP: Trevon Duval

With a deep with this many players, you’d expect a little TBT experience, but no, Duval is the only one. Duval struggled mightily for Veniceball last year, scoring 5 points on 1-8 shooting in the loss. At one point in time, Duval was the best recruit in the country and the starting point guard for the 29-8 Duke Blue Devils.

His career never panned out the way he expected, but the shifty guard can still be dangerous on the court. He can get to the rim at a high rate, and defensively, he is great on the ball. Hopefully, that year of TBT experience allowed him to learn how it works, and this year he can be an on the floor leader and carry X-Rayed to victory.

Make-or-break Player: New Williams

After being a moderate scorer in his four years of college, New Williams has figured it out overseas. Last year, in Cyprus, Williams averaged 26.4 PPG. This year, in the Turkish second division, he’s averaging about 24.4 PPG, and doing it on 49.6 FG% and 43.3 3P%.

Now, with all due respect to both those leagues, the talent in TBT should be greater than that. If the shot is falling, though, the competition doesn’t matter. X-Rayted don’t have a lot of go-to scorers, so if New can step up and have the ball in his hands when they’re in a drought, he can be a huge piece for this team.

Team Outlook

X-Rayted will face War Ready, the Auburn Alumni team, in Round 1. Despite being the “underdog” X-Rayted is very capable of winning that first game. After that, things will get rough. They’d most likely face La Familia, the Kentucky alumni team, on their home court. If they want to make a statement in this tournament, beating La Familia would be quite one.

Another key player for X-Rayted is Jaiden Delaire. The 6’9 Stanford Cardinal alum is extremely versatile and probably their best defender. They’ll look to him to slow down some of these talented wings that the opponents feature. Look for Nico Galette to have a presence on the boards, as well as former Villanova big man Daniel Ochefu.

One player that everyone might know is Brandon “BLou” Armstrong. With 1.3 million Instagram followers, there will be no shortage of content from him. How much content will we get? Hopefully for us and X-Rayted, more than a few games worth.
