Team 901 makes their TBT debut, hoping to make a lasting impression.
This Memphis-based team comes to Louisville hoping to make some noise. This team has great size and tons of talent, but will it be enough to get through a tough region? Only time will tell.

Region: Louisville
All-time Record: 0-0
First Matchup: vs. Florida DRC (July 19 at 7 p.m. EST)
Team MVP: Chandler Lawson
Lawson was listed as the 24th-best prospect at one point in time. While he never reached that level as a player, the talent has always been there. At 6’8, he has great length, making him dangerous defensively, and he can do a little bit of everything on the floor. Last year, he played for Mass Street and only got nine minutes of playing time. In those nine minutes, he scored 7 points.
With an expanded role, he can lead his team to victory. He has yet to show that he can take this leap, but no better time to start than now.
Make-or-break Player: Marcanvis Hymon
Hymon is coming off a great season in Cyprus, averaging 10.9 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game. At 6’7, he doesn’t have the size advantage when it comes to grabbing boards, but his effort and game IQ allow him to grab rebounds at that clip. If he can be a beast on the glass, that could be huge for this inexperienced team.
Team Outlook
Team 901 will play Florida DRC in the first round. They come into that one as heavy underdogs. With both teams’ current rosters, this would go down as one of the bigger upsets in TBT if Team 901 wins. Hopefully, fans will make the five and a half four drive from Memphis to Louisville and give them a bit of an advantage.
