Jackson State finished 2023-24 with a 15-17 overall record and 11-7 SWAC record, which was good for fifth.
The Tigers posted a 1-1 record in exhibition games so far. Against Southern Miss, senior guard Juan Reyna III led Jackson State with 20 points.
Head coach Mo Williams is in his third season and has posted a 29-36 record with JSU.
Houston beat Jackson State last season 89-55 at Fertitta Center, which is the lone game played between these two teams.
