The second commitment for the Syracuse basketball class of 2025 made it official on Monday. Aaron Womack, a three-star forward, committed to head coach Adrian Autry’s program.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native had offers from UW Milwaukee, UIC, Buffalo, Murray State, Illinois State, and others. Womack isn’t ranked nationally, but is considered a three-star pickup by On3.

Womack stands at 6-foot-5, and is playing his senior season at Dominican High School. He played AAU basketball with Wisconsin Playground, where he scored 196 points and collected 61 rebounds in 17U over the spring and summer. Womack hit the 1,000 career points milestone with Dominican last season in Dec. 2023.

Womack joins four-star prospect Sadiq White among the Class of ‘25 commitments.

How does Aaron Womack fit in with Syracuse basketball?

Where might this new small forward fit in? In an interview with On3, Womack described himself as a shooter, wanting to play with a fast-paced offense. He has the ability to shoot threes, nailing 41 triples in his AAU season.

He averaged 21.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists during his junior year at Dominican, earning him a Preseason All-Metro First Team nod. Womack had a first team selection following his junior campaign, too.

He’ll fit in with a team that likes to steal the ball, considering the Orange averaged 9.1 steals per game last season, and he’ll have the ability to shoot from deep if he wants to (Syracuse basketball made 33.8% from the arc last year).

If he has a clear shot, he’ll take it. That could help Syracuse’s offense, especially on the perimeter, during transitions and for creating more passing options for Autry to create.

Womack visited Syracuse over the weekend, going to the football game against Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon.

Syracuse basketball has three scholarships to play with for the class of 2025, given the team’s current players and Womack and White.
