The Duke Blue Devils are 4-0 and currently, the #1 team in the country. Although the roster looks solid and deep for Coach Krzyzewski and his squad, someone can always step up…

Jack White.

Jack White is a senior for Duke this season and his leadership and maturity will be key for any run that the Blue Devils wants to strive for in March. His defense and intensity on the court are already proving helpful but he needs to provide more scoring for Coach K coming off the bench.

Through four games this season, White is averaging 2.3PPG and shooting 27.3% from the field. Last season, he averaged 4.1PPG and shot roughly 36%. He was a stretch forward and allowed RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson to drive to the basket and he could knock threes down from the corner. BUT, ever since going 1-4 from three against Florida State on January 13, 2019, he has shot 7-48 from behind the arc. 14.5% from downtown.

Every athlete gets in a slump. Jack White may be in a slump right now, but Duke needs him to find his stroke once again and prove to be a threat from outside and provide scoring off the bench. Averaging 18MPG, Jack White has the ability to be a spark for the Blue Devils and help them build their resumé throughout the 2019-2020 season.

Duke (4-0) will take on California (4-0) in the 2K Empire Classic on November 21st at 9:00pm ET.
