The college basketball offseason is here, and we decided to have some fun over the next few months, ranking ALL 364 teams in D1. Number 222 is St. Thomas basketball.
Before you say we’re crazy – or that all of this is up for debate, let’s go over the very intricate process of how we came to this conclusion. We took a very statistical approach – with the help of Chat GPT – taking into consideration everything from March Madness wins and finishes, to AP Poll appearances, to conference players of the year. Overall scoop on St. Thomas basketball
One of the newest teams to the Division I scene, St. Thomas basketball has averaged over 19 wins per season, proving they belong at this level in a very short time.
After an initial 10-20 first season at DI, St. Thomas has rattled off four straight winning seasons and three straight 20-win campaigns. The Tommies have finished in second place in the Summit League each of the last two seasons.
While their time in DI has been very short, you have to think St. Thomas will stay as one of the top teams in the league for a while to come. Head coach John Tauer has been with the program since long before they moved to Division I, and he’s adopted a winning culture even now in the highest level of college hoops.
