Get ready, Wildcats fans! The 2024-25 Arizona basketball team is set to make a highly anticipated debut at the Red-Blue Showcase on Friday, Oct. 4, at the McKale Center, tipping off at 6 p.m. MST and streaming live on ESPN+.
TUCSON, AZ (CBB REVIEW) – After hosting last year’s sold-out Red-Blue Showcase, the Road Trippin’ podcast crew—featuring former Wildcats and NBA champions Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, along with co-host Allie Clifton—returns to Tucson to host the show once again.
Presented by First Watch, the Red-Blue Showcase is the ultimate sneak peek for fans to check out the Wildcats’ roster for the upcoming season. The night kicks off with electrifying player introductions, followed by two can’t-miss pregame showdowns: the 3-point contest and the high-flying slam dunk contest. But the real excitement comes with the abbreviated scrimmage game, where the Arizona basketball team will go head-to-head in a thrilling preview of what’s to come this season.
Before the main event, Arizona Adaptive Athletics will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an annual wheelchair basketball scrimmage set to start at 5:20 p.m.
As Arizona steps into the Big 12 Conference, the buzz around the team is already massive. ESPN’s Way Too Early Preseason Top 25 rankings have the Wildcats inside the Top 10, with 2024 Pac-12 Player of the Year Caleb Love returning to lead the charge, alongside familiar faces like Jaden Bradley, KJ Lewis, Motiejus Krivas, Conrad Martinez, and Henri Veesaar. They’ll be supported by impact transfers Trey Townsend, Tobe Awaka, and Anthony Dell’Orso, making this team a force to be reckoned with.
While the 2024 Red-Blue Showcase at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale has been postponed, tickets for the Tucson showcase are still available! Don’t miss your chance to witness the Wildcats in action—head to ArizonaWildcats.com to grab your tickets now!
