Butler Slows Down Arkansas

NCAAMButler Started hot and we’re ready to play from the opening tip. The Bulldogs started the game on a 21-2 run knocking down 4 three point field goals before letting Arkansas climb back into the game and take 29-27 lead with 3:50 to go in the first half. About 30 seconds later Arkansas’s only lead of the game was gone.

The scoring of Martin and Baldwin proved too much for the Razorbacks as they struggled to keep pace. Shooting only 36% from the field and 22% from downtown.  The Bulldogs hit 11 3-pointers as they shot 49% from the field. The big story was how Butler owned the glass grabbing 45 boards and out rebounding Arkansas by 20.

Butler will now move on into the second round to face A Purdue team who has lost Isaac Haas.
